Ask God is a high-speed intelligent Bible study tool using IQ text technology, a search-and-retrieval engine that combines the best of hypertext and artificial intelligence (Al). Users can ask questions in English. The program responds immediately by displaying onscreen all references to a word or topic that was entered. First it scans the entire Bible for all literal matches to the typed request; then the Al engine takes over, consulting its knowledge base for alternative meanings of the typed request and calling up related biblical verses. The system is capable of accessing all 22,000 occurrences of the word the in milliseconds. Ask God runs on IBM PCs and compatibles with a minimum of 386K of RAM and DOS 2.0 or higher.
