After attempting for nine months to reorganize its financial affairs under Chapter 11, Crate Technology has packed it in. Crate had manufactured an inexpensive line of hard drives for the Mac. According to the company's president, Chris Lemoine, Crate's assets will be sold to another Lemoine company, Data Storage Development. Lemoine says that the new company will honor Crate's existing warranties.
